Research Trip with Dr. Stoner

Hello and Happy New Year,

Welcome back to school.

We are in the final stages of planning the Spring break trip to Sweden. The dates for the Sweden trip are March 28th to April 3rd.

Here is the cost breakdown

Airfare $1,000   -   Hotel $400 (includes some meals)   -   Food- on your own, many meals will be provided

Train trip from Stockholm to Karlstad, Sweden $100

Total $1,500 plus your incidental expenses.

We will be meeting with colleagues from Karlstad University.  Sweden is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited.  Dr. Donna and I have been working with nursing faculty for 2 years from this University.  Two faculty members from Karlstad will be visiting CSUSB in late January and you will have a chance to meet them.
http://www.kau.se/en/education/programmes/PR1020. Karlstad would like some of you to come for 1-2 weeks later, so there is the possibility to do more exchanges from them.

You will have a chance to get course credit for this trip, those interested in course credit, should contact me soon and I will help you arrange a project to do.

There is also the possibility to request ASI funds to help pay for the trip is you are working on a project.  We have many projects that are possible to complete. Palliative care is the focus of this trip.

You will find English is widely spoken in Sweden and it will be easy to communicate.

The next meeting about the trip will be Tuesday January 19th. One meeting is at 1pm in my office HP 230. At Palm Desert January 20th at 1pm.

Dr. Mary Molle is also going on the trip.
